Reflexology has its origins in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It works within the philosophy that in the macrocosm of the body exists it's microcosm in the foot.  (and the hand and the ear!)  We can apply pressure, or tuning forks to the reflexes in the foot that will address issues in the corresponding area of the body. For instance, the curve of the inside of the side of YOUR foot mirrors the curve of YOUR spine, and when pressure is applied to an area, we can bring comfort and relaxation to that part of the body.
